Information Takes Over

(Panlibus) Personally, I can’t remember the last time I ever clicked on something in one of those category lists; ours or anyone else’s. If an item isn’t in the set of posts displayed on the page, I’ll search for it using a search box. Otherwise, I’ll use something like Technorati to look for posts on a topic from across a set of blogs.

So I’m all for ditching the category list. But, before doing so, thought it worth asking people whether they found it useful.

I was about to go “What ditch categories?” when I remembered that categories are not the same as technorati or del.icio.us tags…

I’ll stop now.
