Stock taking with Library 2.0
Type or scan the ID of a book and have the details of the book shown, along with other stats such as the number of copies in this library (onloan included), the number of copies in the library service, the number of copies in the neighbouring library services (could be shown on a map!). There’s nothing like keeping up with the Joneses!
It could even be possible to change the status or locations of the item. This could depend on the amount of functionality that Vendors were willing to expose via webservices.
