You’re a scholar and a …
New: Google Scholar: Stand on the shoulders of giants.
“Google Scholar enables you to search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web.”
It’s good to see that we can perhaps strip some of the banal trivialities from the web searching process. You know what its like, you look up something specific, that you suddenly realise has some sort of main stream commercial application, and all you can find is stores trying to sell it to you, or ugly shopping portals trying to hook you into their advertising streams.
So now we have Google Scholar, which hopefully can strip some of the dross and provide access to useful stuff for adding to one’s bibliographies.
