Travelism
Last night, my wife bemoaned the fact that if you wanted to go to america you pretty much had to go by air. In the process of ranting and raving she labelled people as travellists – those who discriminate against forms of travel. “I want to go to america, but I want to go on a boat”
Having just googled the matter, I came up with nothing obvious in terms of anything. But then I remembered Cunard, and had a look, and lo and behold for over £2000 we can go via sea.
For 6 days.
One way.
Well, acually, you get flown back as soon as you arrive it seems.
So, further serching for transatlantic crossings, threw up more stuff, but all seemingly with the main aim of going on the ship, then flying back. We want to get there on a ship, spend a few weeks wandering America, then come back again. Using nothing but a shoestring for currency and the lining of our pockets for shelter.
