Lost and Found
A recent New Scientist Last Word question talks about why it can be so difficult to find things when you are looking for them.
This is especially true if what you are looking for is a paperback on a spinner in your local library. Many Library staff will tell you how you can never find paperbacks. This is partly due to the fact that you are looking at a “bunch of books” rather than an ordered Sequence.
Ask your friendly local librarian, and they will nod sagely and mutter under their breath.
